Snow season has arrived in Colorado and with that, comes tourists from all over the world. The most populated area will of course be Denver, but if you want to avoid crowds and long lines, be sure to check out Breckenridge, CO. This great alternative to Aspen is definitely worth a visit!
This mountainside town is about a 1.5 hour (80 miles) drive from Denver. Along the I-70, you’ll encounter the beautiful Colorado landscapes, filled with trees and mountain range backdrops. If you’re skeptical about visiting the town, this drive will make it worth it. Plus, you can’t truly experience Colorado without a scenic mountain drive. If you must visit Aspen, it's about a 2.5 hour (137 miles) drive from Breck.

Breckenridge Ski Resort is the spot to be for all action sports (skiing, snowboarding, etc.). It’s part of the Epic Season Pass, so if you’re a holder, that’s a sigh of relief. The resort has 5 peaks and 187 trails, enough for a great weekend trip.
